Euphoria

Here's the definition:

Euphoria is medically recognized as a mental/emotional state defined as a sense of great (usually exaggerated)elation and wellbeing.[1] Technically, euphoria is an affect,[2] but the term is often colloquially used to define emotion as an intense state of transcendent happiness combined with an overwhelming sense of wellbeing. The word derives from Greek εὐφορία, "power of enduring easily, fertility".[3][4] Euphoria is generally considered to be exaggerated, resulting from an abnormal psychological state with or without the use of psychoactive drugs and not typically achieved during the normal course of human experience. However, some natural behaviors, such as activities resulting in orgasm or the triumph of an athlete, can induce brief states of euphoria.[2] Euphoria has also been cited during certain religious or spiritual rituals and meditation.[5]

The last time I remember feeling this way just before Emily was born in 04. I was listening to one of my favorite "I'm Having A Baby" cd's in the car on the way to work. I was thinking, "Does life ever get any better than this? 'Cause there's nothing that can bring me down!"

I'm starting to feel that way again. Believe me, I've been nervous about soon having 3 littles to look after. But that nervousness is slowly dissipating and I'm going back to that place of singing baby tunes in the car. By the way, those are the best cd's in the world, Ace! Ya, I'm getting fat, but it's happy fat. Even my sister calling me "fat necked" the other night doesn't really bother me that much! Bring on the neck fat!

Work and my awesome schedule
The kids at school (Today I overheard a first grader stating he had the "heebee jeebies" on the way to recess and he was asking a friend if he thought they'd ever go away!)
The good weather that's coming this week
Listening to Aidan's endless chatter
Aidan hugs
An unsolicited kiss on the cheek from Emily at mass on Saturday
The smell of my new car :)
My doting husband
Clean, folded laundry

Reality TV
Baby kicks
Citrus Sage Yankee Candles
Mom and Pat coming home in 2 weeks!
An extended happy and healthy family who loves us
