Sitting Pretty Portraits Giveaway!!

Last Sunday morning, Chris and I hopped in the Traverse with all 3 kiddies and drove up 495 to Holliston, MA. to see Amy Lewis, or as my kids call her, "picture-taking Amy."  She is the owner of Sitting Pretty Portraits, and has been photographing my children since Aidan was about 3 months old.  Bunnies and chicks, or mass?  Yes, we skipped church on Sunday to have the kids portraits taken with chicks and bunnies.  Maybe that's the reason why Emily fell down the stairs in her dress thirty minutes before leaving the house.

Matching green polos (don't even get me started on the outfit contemplations and the trips to Wrentham.)  How it all came together was quite miraculous.  I bought about 32 Ralph Lauren polos of various sizes and colors and had no dress for the little miss.  But leave it to baby-sitter of the year to call me from Marshalls in Franklin to tell me she found a navy blue Ralph Lauren dress with green trim that matches the same green set of polos I bought for the boys.  Baby-sitter/personal shopper.  Did I ever mention how much I love her?  And yes, I have my receipts!

Amy did some amazing work, yet again. The chicks and bunnies were adorable and Owen only tried to snap their necks a few times.  Aidan was obsessed with the hard boiled eggs and the carrot.  We got some terrific smiles from all three. HALLELUJAH!

Amy works wonders.  She had my entire photo gallery up for viewing in less than 24 hours after the event!?  She is super dedicated to her clients, has a really sweet way of working with children and takes Mom's input and ideas seriously.  I remember when Aidan was an infant, she never rushed me.  She let me nurse him when he was cranky and really listened to me when I told her what types of images I wanted to capture.  She goes above and beyond communicating before and after the shoot.  She gives great advice and has a tremendous amount of patience.  It's why we keep going back!  Everything is always "custom."

And now it's your chance for custom!  Amy has offered an amazing opportunity for the readers here at stowedstuff.  Five lucky winners will receive a custom portrait studio session ($100 value) at Sitting Pretty Portraits in Holliston to be held on Tuesday, April 19th and Thursday, April 21st (school vacation week.)  Winners must be available for photos to be taken on one of those days.  Sessions are approximately 45 minutes long and Amy will consult with contest winners for wardrobe and backgrounds!  AMAZING, right?  Here is what you need to do for your chance to win:
  1. LIKE Sitting Pretty Portraits on Facebook.
  2. Leave a comment here about the most outrageous thing that your child has done/said, as well as how many children and their ages.
  3. Receive an EXTRA ENTRY after doing the above by LIKING Queen of the Road on Facebook and telling us you entered this contest on Queen of the Road's Wall.
  4. Receive an EXTRA ENTRY for following me on twitter and telling me (@anniestow) you tweeted this contest using hashtag #sittingpretty.
Entry period is between Thursday, April 7th and Wednesday, April 13th up until 7pm.  Winners will be picked using random.org.  Winners will be announced here on the evening of April 13th.  Please leave appropriate email address to be contacted and only one comment per person please.

Good Luck!

Hey there Annie,

I did all of the above... just call me efficient! :)

*anyhow*, let's see... the most outrageous thing my girls ever did was secretly pull down a *giant* thing of mixed berry yogurt off the counter and have a "fingerpainting" party on the cabinets. Ah, I love two-year-old twins.

Madeline and Molly are 2 year old twins and are the strongest little chicks I know! :)

Three children: Isabelle (3), Henry (2), and Daniel (7 months). A funny recent thing - We just got a piano and my husband was playing it and singing. Isabelle said "Umm, Dadda, why don't we just let the piano do the singing."

Three little kiddos- Rene (11), Gino (3), Angelo (1.5). Not sure I like admitting this but after nursing my last child I decided a breast augmentation was in order. About a month after the surgery, Gino climbed into the shower with me one morning and proceeded to say "Mommy, your boobies look really nice now"! Thanks buddy!

My daughter who is the younger one stood in front of the toilet and peed all over the floor clapping saying I did it. I said oh honey girls sit down, they don't stand up and she started to cry and her brother grabbed her hands and said Don't worry Emma, I will buy you a penis at the store. LOL! :)

My little one is only ten months old so she hasn't said or done many outrageous things yet but I do love that when we turn rap music on she proceeds to shake her butt and stamp her feet. The fact that she has more rhythm than her mother and father combined at 10 months is pretty awesome!

I have two children -Kaitlyn is 4.5 and Zack is 2.5. One of the most outrageous moments occurred when Miss Kaitlyn raided my makeup bag when she was supposed to be napping....hilarious outcome!

My daughter (3 yrs) and I were looking at photos from our trip to Arizona last year. We came across one of her sitting on the edge of the pool wearing her adorable blue bikini, sun hat, and sunglasses. She proceeded to ask.."why I naked?" I told her you're not naked you're wearing a bathing suit. Apparently that answer wasn't the right one because she then proceeded to ask "why I wearing bras and undies?" (and yes...the plurals were not a grammatical error-that's verbatim!) I love her!!

When Emily was potty training last summer, she also went through a phase of sorting who had what parts. Going to the grocery store was always a good time when she would point to someone and say,
"Mommy, she has a vagina!"

We have three kids as well, Grace, 4, Jack, 2 and Charlie who is almost 6 months old. One of my most favorite moments as a mum was last summer when I was up stairs folding laundry, Grace was left "reading books". I called down and said, how you doing down there- she replies "nothing" at which of course you exit whatever you doing as quickly as possible. As I turn the corner into the kitchen the sweetest voice says "surprise". She had made me special chocolate milk soup. And she got the milk EVERYWHERE, the chocolate sauce all over herself, my floor, cabinets and even the dog. She was too proud of herself to have gotten mad. It was a riot! A good day to be a mum!
