The Silpat?!


My friend Rye just baked some yummy chocolate chip cookies over on the other coast and he mentioned the Silpat. Is my kitchen the only one without one? I think I may have seen it in Tillerwoman's kitchen-right Tillerman? I'm thinking I have to run out to Williams-Sonoma and get me a couple of these cookie sheet savers! I don't know about you, but our cookie sheets are GROSS! How long are good cookie sheets meant to last anyway? Mine are only five years old and they are a disaster. I think the Silpat is a wonderful invention and I'm thinking it's going to be great not having to grease the pans anymore! I'll let you know how great it works and if it makes life that much easier when baking! What a great excuse to bake some yummy cookies! Oh and Tillerman, if you don't have one yet, don't tell her-I'll get her some! No more pan scrubbing in this house!

Try cooking cookies on a pizza stone... they don't stick at all and no greasy mess!
