My Worthy Snow Machine

So the plan was to travel to RI on Boxing Day to have Christmas #2 with the Stows. However, a blizzard decided to come too.  So, Uncle Michael and Aimee bailed because they don't have a worthy snow machine like us.  Bummer.  So we donated their Christmas presents to the Little Children of the Poor and are hoping to see them some time in 2011.  Thank God for our Chevy Traverse.  The presents fit just fine, too!

I'm Baaaack!

Just being cute...
Christmas Jammies
Goodness, the holidays are sneaking up on us.  During lunch today I said, "only 6 more sleeps until Christmas, you know!"  Well, I thought Emily would fall off her chair.  She lit up.  "ONLY 6!?  THAT'S IT?"  Too cute.  So then we stressed how important it is to be really good this week.  So she finished her pasta and marched right on up to her bed for a nap all by herself without question.  I think the 6 sleep thing really worked.  That and all the fun stuff left to do this week, like see the Millis Christmas lights, bake cookies, help me wrap, etc.

Yes, it's December, so the puke bug arrived.  Some like to call it the stomach bug, but we like the word puke.  Aidan brought it in from the MOM'S Club Christmas party last week, I am sure.  It was his first night with his racecar bed in his room and thank GOODNESS it was there.  Because first, he puked in his crib and we could switch him right over into the bed without dealing with the dreaded sheets straight away.  But then he continued to puke, and the following night managed to "do it again" all over his cute little racecar bed.  But Daddy saved the day.  Right back into that bed.  He took it like a champ, such a big boy. So sad to see such a little person get so sick.  He loves his bed and the crib is already down in the basement collecting dust.  My little baby is growing up.

Emily ventured off on a two-night sleepover to Grandma and Grandad's this week.  It was AAAAHHHH-mazing.  The peace and quiet around here - no fighting, no yelling, no time-outs.  Beautiful.  I did miss her though.  She had a blast and was a very good girl.  And she escaped the puke bug!  I think a little kidcation is needed every now and again.  And yesterday, I just had the baby here to myself!  Now you're talking QUIET!  I managed to wrap every single SANTA gift.  Only took 4+ hours...
