Girls' Day Out

Emily and I ventured off into Boston on Tuesday 12/29, on the coldest day of the year! Mommy purchased some last minute tickets to the 12pm show of Disney On Ice at the Garden. We took the train in from Route 128, and Emily was so excited that she got to ride on 6 different trains!

The show was awesome. We had amazing seats for a last minute purchase. Grandma and Grandad came up to take care of Aidan so we could have a "GIRLS ONLY" day. Mommy loved the music from Aladdin and even got a little teary eyed watching Belle dance with the Beast! We sure did have a lot of fun! More of these days to come! When I asked Emily, "What did you like best about the show?", she said "EVERYTHING!" When I asked her, "Did you like Disney On Ice better than the trains?", she said "No, I liked the trains better!" Figures, huh?

Nuchal Screen/First Look

I had an ultrasound on Thursday, December 18th at maternal and fetal medicine at NWH. I was so bummed because my screen to see my baby on was broken, so I couldn't see a thing. Everything measured just fine in the nuchal fold department and I go back for more blood work in a couple of weeks. Dr. Robinson DID tell me that my little firecracker is a BOY!!!!! I could NOT believe they could tell me such news so early on! I was only 12 weeks!!!! AMAZING stuff. He said he's usually right when he says boy-said he's 95% sure! So write down some good boy names for me when you hear them. We're stumped! Bring on the boys' bunks!

17 months.....

I don't know what it is about my little boy, but he has me wrapped around his finger. I can't quite explain it. I love him with all my heart and think he is the sweetest thing that ever walked the planet.

So his teeth came in late. Really late. He got his first bottom tooth on Sept. 30th. Soon after that, #2 erupted right next door. On or around December 1st, his top teeth FINALLY started to come in, and now he's got teeth coming in all over. 17 mos......5 teeth.

But let's talk about the boy's words. I mean, girls are meant to be more verbal than boys, right? When Emily was his age, she had quite an extensive vocabulary, for sure. But Chris and I both can't quite remember if she had THIS MANY WORDS. Aidan is stringing words together and making so much sense out of this crazy world we live in. I'm sure having little Emily talking and playing with him all day long is a big help. But this boy is amazing.

The List:

Isn't it quite an extensive list? I just had to get some of it down so I wouldn't forget. We did some signing with this little guy, but not nearly as much as we did with Emily. I guess we'll toss it up to Grandad's good genes. I love my smart little guy. I'm sure I forgot a bunch, so I'll be back soon to add to the crazy list. Such a fun age. And he's such a good little boy. I hope the next one gets Grandad's good genes too. Did we use them all up?
