Dessert

After some yummy cheese pizza and saying "cheese" to the camera, Aidan and Emily enjoyed some Rainbow Sherbet. YUM! (I had some too, of course.) Aidan amazes us more and more each day with all his chatter. We can seriously converse with him on a regular basis. Daddy said, "Oh no, the ice cream is dripping everywhere!" and Aidan then said, "dripping everywhere." He's so much fun at this age!!!!!! He told me it was a "yucky day" today and he also said his name 4 times!

And here's Aidy baby getting out of the bath. What a handsome fella! He sure does love hammin' it up these days!

Sunday Afternoon

Cleaning, laundry and still in my pajamas at 2:40pm. Dreading going back to work tomorrow, but so happy that I only have to work until noon! Did I ever mention that I LOVE MY WORK SCHEDULE?? Well, I do. And tomorrow is our 100th Day of School, so all the little kiddies will be doing fun projects in their classrooms and I'll get to help out with that! I hope the week goes by quickly because I'm really looking forward to March and SPRING! These temps. in the high 40s have me thinking it's just around the corner.

I think I'll take Mr. Aidan for a walk when he wakes up from his nap. Gotta get out and enjoy the beautiful weather while I have the chance! Can't take 3 on a walk, that's for sure! Oh and here's what's cooking for Sunday's Supper:

Sesame Chicken
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup plus 2 teaspoons soy sauce, divided
2 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar
6 teaspoons rice wine or dry sherry, divided
1 cup chicken broth
6 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, cut into bite size pieces
2 egg whites, lightly beaten
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon minced garlic
3-6 dried hot red pepper pods (we're substituting a few flakes)
1/4 cup sesame seeds
thinly sliced green onions
cooked white rice

In medium bowl, combine sugar 1/4 cup of the soy sauce, vinegar, 4 teaspoons of the rice wine, and chicken broth. Whisk to blend and set aside. In separate bowl, combine chicken pieces, remaining 2 teaspoons soy sauce, and remaining 2 teaspoons rice wine. Marinate at room temp, about 30 mins. Add egg whites and cornstarch and stir until well blended.

In wok, heat oil over med-high heat. Cook chicken, in 3 batches, until golden on all sides, about 3 mins. Remove with slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Cover with foil to keep warm. Discard all but 2 tablespoons drippings from wok and reduce heat to medium. Add garlic and pepper pods and cook, stirring frequently, until peppers blacken, about 1 min. Add reserved soy sauce mixture, increase heat to med-high, and cook until sauce thickens, about 15 mins. Add reserved chicken and sesame seeds and stir until coated. Top with green onions and serve with rice. (4-6 servings)

Oh, and Chris is obviously cooking this one! I'll let you know how it turns out!

***UPDATE*** Best Sesame Chicken I ever tasted!!!!! YUM! And Chris made a delicious fried rice instead!

A Trip To Boston

As we rode down I93 toward Boston this morning, we were amazed to see the Sienna's thermometer reach 49 degrees! What a gorgeous day! We were headed into Dynasty Models & Talent on Newbury St. for Emily's first photo shoot. It was a beautiful day for photos outdoors, which we were all hoping for! Emily did a fantastic job posing out in the street for the camera and we can't wait to see the professional shots! Afterward, we headed to the Prudential Mall, where Emily was able to pick up one of these , as promised if she was a good girl! Believe me, there was a lot of waiting around. We were expecting a one hour shoot, but it turned into a 2.5 hour ordeal with lots of waiting around. But I think it was all worth it.

Then we headed to Wagamama for a yummy late lunch/early dinner. And thank GOD we stopped here on the way IN to Boston! Traffic was bad and we had a little girl in the back seat who really had to pee! She had to go so bad that she was in tears! So mommy pulled off 93 at exit 4 and stopped on the side of the road so Emily could do her business in a Dunkin Donuts cup!! NO JOKE!!! Daddy carefully placed the cup, and Emily filled the Medium French Vanilla Decaf Iced Coffee cup to the brim with yellow stuff!!!! And we were on our merry way. Here are a few shots of Emily with our own camera...wait until you see the real stuff!

Fun Filled February

Enjoying the week off with my cutie pies. Daddy turned 32, I turned 33 and I can't stop eating junk! Birthday cake, chocolate valentines, Funyons, Cadbury Mini Eggs and Creme Eggs. YIKES! I think the baby likes it all!

Did you all know that I really did win a trip to the Ellen DeGeneres Show? Well, it's true! Crazy things happen! And when I got home, WCVB contacted me to ask me if I'd be interested in a new car....."aaahhh, ya!" So, things are totally in the works for my new Chevy Traverse! I am scheduled to pick it up in just 2 short weeks! More details to follow!!!

I got a new iPod Nano and a MacBook! So I've been having some fun playing around with all my Apple electronics. I think Daddy wants in on some of these Apple gadgets!

Baby Boy Stow is doing great. I'm getting fatter by the minute and the heartburn is starting to kick in at night. I saw Dr. Simmons last week (LOVE HER!) and she has promised me an end of June baby, which has made my nine months!!!! I am thrilled about the possibility of June 23rd, which is also the last day of school! Rapid labor=induction :) I want my epidural to work!!!!

Here's Aidan playing "Ready, Set, Go!" It took me a while to figure out what he was saying!

It's A Boy!

It's official! Little Stow #3 really is a boy! Dr. Robinsen said he was 95% sure at only 12 weeks, but it was confirmed today at WWC. Everything looked great today and I'm 19 weeks along. Woohoo! Now, to settle on the name! I'm already in love and so excited thinking about all the fun that lies ahead. We are very blessed.

Emily is really growing up. She looks more like a little girl these days and less like my little baby. She and Aidan have a blast together running around the house-playing hats, dress up, Dr, trucks, legos, dollies, you name it! At about 5pm, the running starts. They run loops around the joint. He is one fast boy and he can certainly keep up with his big sis. He is talking NON-STOP and linking 3 words together now. Some of our favorites include, "Daddy fix it, Thomas engine on, read it please, milk all gone, Up on Dada/Mama/Nana/Shell/Grandma/Grandad." He is hilarious! He's got so many teeth coming in now. Molars galore. I guess he wanted them all at once!

We just finished up with the pukebug. That was fun. Aidan got it first on Saturday night, then Emily and I both got it on Monday night. Then, last but not least, Daddy. It's been quite a winter. I'm definitely looking forward to February vacation, which starts next Friday-HALLELUJAH! A whole week off with no plans!! This weekend is Daddy's 32nd birthday, followed by Mommy's 33rd on Tuesday. Crazy February is here!
